Anand Sagar Lake

Anand Sagar Lake on the eastern part of Banswara, Anand Sagar Lake or the ‘Bai Talab’ is among the most popular tourist spot within the city limits. Constructed by Lachhi Bai, the queen of MaharawalJagmal, locals throng this lake to worship a nearby tree called the ‘KalpaVriksha’.

According to them, the tree has magical powers and fulfils the wishes of its devotees. Visitors to Anand Sagar Lake can also find some of the historic tombstones around and revisit the golden history of Banswara and Rajasthan as well.

Nearby the lake are small mountains where is the famous Ram Kund, also known as ‘Phati Khan’ because there is a deep cave under a hill. There is a Pool of very cold water found through out the year. It is said that Lord Ram, during his exile came & stayed here. It is a beautiful place surrounded by hills.
