SpiceJet airlines introduces  its maiden journey  to Jaisalmer desert city  29th October onward

 

SpiceJet launch flight services between the national capital and Jaisalmer from October 29.

Jaisalmer is the desert city of Rajasthan. The airlines flying to and from Jaisalmer have connected it to the major cities of the country. The flights from Jaisalmer connect it to Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Mumbai. The Jaisalmer airport is 5 km away from the city center and is basically an Indian airport base. There are many cheap/budget and luxury hotels available near the Jaisalmer airport.

SpiceJet will start daily flights on Delhi-Jaisalmer route from October 29, making the “ghost airport” of the tourist magnet city operational after many years. The world-famed sand dunes of Jaisalmer will just an hour away from Delhi.

“SpiceJet will also introduce direct flights between Jaisalmer and Jaipur from October 29, making it the only Indian carrier to connect the two key tourist and business destinations of Rajasthan. The airline will also recommence flights between Delhi and Jodhpur from the same day,” the airline said in a statement.

Jaipur-Jaisalmer will be SpiceJet’s fourth sector under UDAN or the regional connectivity scheme for SpiceJet. The route will be serviced by the Bombardier Q400. “Tickets for the RCS seats on the Jaipur-Jaisalmer route will be available at Rs 2,330 (all inclusive) whereas the RCS fare on the Jaisalmer-Jaipur route will be Rs 2,280 (all inclusive),” the airline said.

 Jaisalmer is the largest district of Rajasthan, which is visited by several tourists year-round. It is home to several architectural marvels, museums and natural attractions, such as the Jaisalmer Fort, Salim ji ki Haveli, Nathmalji ki Haveli and Tazia Tower. Tourists can plan excursions to Gadsisar Lake, Akal Wood Fossil Park, Ludarwa, Amar Sagar, Desert National Park, Sam Sand Dunes and Mool Sagar, to name a few interesting places. Besides, visitors should not miss camel safari, shopping for local handicrafts and Desert Festival (January-February) while in Jaisalmer. Travelers can reach the destination by availing flights to Jaisalmer.
