There are two domestic airports near Uttarakhand. These include the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun and Pantnagar Airport near Nainital. While there are regular flights to Dehradun from major cities of the country, Pantnagar Airport gets limited flights. So, make sure that you check with the flights before planning your trip to Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand By Rail :
The important railway station in Uttarakhand are at Kathgodam, Haridwar, Deharadun, Ramnagar, Haldwani, Kathgodam is the last terminus of the broad gauge line of North East Railways that connects Nainital with Delhi, Dehradun, and Howrah. Other famous railway stations are at Lalkuan and Haldwani. Dehradun Railway Station is a railhead of the Northern Railways. Haridwar station is situated on the Delhi–Dehradun and Howrah–Dehradun railway lines. Other railheads are Rishikesh, Kotdwar and Ramnagar linked to Delhi by daily trains. Rishikesh Karnaprayag Railway is the proposed railway line which might take 5 years to develop. It will connect pilgrim spots like Devprayag, Rudraprayag and Karnprayag; will also pass through Dehradun, Tehri Garhwal, Pauri Garwal and Chamoli districts.

Uttarakhand By Road :
Although Uttarakhand (Uttaranchal) is a very young state in India, an extensive road network covers the state. Uttarakhand (Uttaranchal) has excellent road connection with Delhi and state highways link the destinations and important places like Corbett National Park, Haridwar, Rishikesh of the state to each other.
