Trekking
Munnar is synonymous with excellent trekking trails through one of the highest regions of the Western Ghats. Join our trekking tours through the offbeat trails of Western Ghats near Munnar. You will be hiking through the high altitude rain forests which hold great bio-diversity and endemism, great swathes of grasslands that are typical of the Western Ghats. These treks will have you taking in the most scenic regions of the Western Ghats.


Cycling Tour from Munnar camp (1 day)
Munnar has some of the finest biking trails in South India. Winding its way through the shola forests, cardamom estates and tea gardens, these routes are fascinating to amateur as well as the enthusiastic professional. If you have set your eyes on off road cycling, we have the perfect trails for you, that too around the camp at Munnar. The day cycling programmes have been catered to give you a ringside view of the beautiful countryside, the indigenous tribals and the tea estate workers who work these tea gardens. You have a choice of half day cycling, a full day tour or even multi day tours. Price from: US$ 80 per person.

Birding
Munnar Bird Watching Tour (1 day) Munnar and surrounding areas are rich in bird life, with nearly 200 species, many of them endemic, recorded in these highlands. The high altitude montane forests and grasslands are home to many of the endemics of the Western Ghats like the Nilgiri Pipit, Painted Bush Quail, Nilgiri Wood Pigeon, Black & Orange Flycatcher, Nilgiri Flycatcher, White-bellied Shortwing and the Broadtailed Grassbird. The tour will start early in the morning and the areas covered are Rajamala and Kanniamala Shola. This will be followed by a visit to the Lockhart Gap area and the grasslands in the surrounding hills. Following packed lunch in the field there will be trip to the Bodi Ghats to look for the rare Yellow Throated Bulbul, Indian Robin, Sirkeer Malkoha, Short Toed Snake Eagle, Bluefaced Malkoha and the Black eagle.
