Summer Season :
During summer(March to June), Manali has a charm that is incomparable with bright, colorful flowers in full bloom and a pleasant climate with an average temperature of around 25°C. The weather stays pleasant in the day and turns cool at night. This is the busiest season in this picturesque hill station as it serves a platter full of outdoor activities, which include river rafting, paragliding, trekking, and camping. The famous Rohtang Pass is open during this time and also, the famous Hadimba Temple Festival is held annually in May here. Hotels are usually expensive during summer and advance booking at least a month ahead is suggested to plan a hassle-free summer vacation in Manali.

Monsoon Season :
Manali experiences monsoon in the months between July and mid-September when the hill station receives an average of 200 mm rain. Traveling through Manali during monsoon can be a bit difficult as the hill station experience torrential rainfall, which triggers frequent landslides, thus blocking most of the roads. This is the lean tourist season in Manali. It is advisable to stay away from this place at this time, without being lured by the tremendous fall in the hotel prices.
