Adventure Sports in Jammu and Kashmir comprise numerous sports which are immensely popular in this Northern Indian State. Kashmir's two major natural advantages are its mountains on the one hand, and lakes and rivers on the other. It is located at an elevation of 2, 730 m above sea level. Khilanmarg is the other popular destination for skiing. Skiing season here begins in December and continues till March.
