Bundi is a district located in the Hadoti region of Rajasthan at a distance of 36 km from Kota. 84-pillared cenotaph is a mesmerizing architectural marvel in Bundi. Supported by 84 intricately carved columns with images of celestial nymphs, deer and elephants, the cenotaph was commission by Maharaja of Bundi and was dedicated to his beloved wet nurse Deva. Raniji ki Baoli (Queen’s step well) was built in 1699 by Rani Nathavati. The step well is famous for intricate carvings and high arched gateways. Dabahi Kund and Nagar Sagar Kund are other step wells in the city.
Among from the human marvels at display in Bundi, presence of natural as well as artificial lakes is a cherry on the top of cake. Lake Jait Sagar an enchanting lake near Taragarh fort which is enveloped by hills from all sides. Other lakes in Bundi include Nawal Sagar, Kanak Sagar and Phool Sagar.

Taragarh Fort
It is popularly known as star fort and it is the striking feature of Bundi and was built in1354 AD. It offers an excellent panoramic view of entire city and holds three water tanks which are never dry up which depicts the sophisticated engineering of former India.
