Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive at Delhi, the country's capital. Complete the check-in formalities at the Safdarjung railway station. Enjoy a traditional welcome and settle into your cabins. Savor the welcome drink offered. Soon the luxury train would begin its journey for the first destination, the 'Pink City' of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Day 2 - Jaipur
Today, the train arrives at Jaipur. Breakfast on board. De-board the train and enjoy a visit to the Amber Fort, a world heritage site. The fort is best-known for its architectural design and aesthetic ambience. Here, you can enjoy an elephant safari up to the entrance of the Fort. The other option is jeep ride. Next, proceed to one of the most popular attractions of Jaipur, the City Palace or Jai Mahal Palace where you can indulge in exciting elephant activities like painting them or feeding them or enjoy a joyful ride.
You can either get back to your comforts of Maharaja's express or choose to indulge in refreshing spa at Palace hotel or go for a shopping tour or enjoy golfing at Rambagh Goff Club or visit the City Palace or Jantar Mantar (an observatory). Later, Maharaja's Express leaves for Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore). Dinner and overnight stay on the train.

Day 3 - Ranthambore / Fatehpur Sikri
Morning arrival at Sawai Madhopur, one of the well-known cities of Rajasthan. Breakfast on- board. Get ready for an exciting adventure, a game drive at Ranthambore National Park, one of the finest Tiger reserves in the country. Get back to your luxury train as the train departs for Fatehpur Sikri. Savor lunch on board. The train reaches arrives at Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO heritage site. Visit the deserted Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, home a number of wonderful architectural gems. Back to Maharaja's express for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 - Agra / Gwalior
Today the train enters Agra, the city of Taj Mahal. Proceed to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal. The white marble monument is a masterpiece of brilliant architecture alluring a lot of travelers to India. It was constructed by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. An unforgettable breakfast session with champagne at the Taj Khema. Get back onboard as the train heads to Gwalior and enjoy scrumptious lunch aboard Maharajas Express. Explore the major attractions of Gwalior including Gwalior Fort, Saas Bahu temple and Jain Cave Sculptures. Else, you may also go for rejuvenating spa experince at the Palace hotel. Thereafter in the evening, visit the Jai Vilas Palace where you get to explore the amazing collection of arts and artifacts serving the fact that the place has rich historical past. Relish Hi Tea in the compound of the palace. Return back to luxury train as it proceeds for Khajuraho. Overnight stay on the Maharaja's express.

Day 5 - Khajuraho
Breakfast on-board. You have some free time till the train arrives at the next destination. Indulge in the facilities offered aboard the train and enjoy the scenery from your cabin's window. Afternoon, arrival at Khajuraho. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khajuraho Group of Monuments is mostly visited for the exotic sculptures and figurines, promoting erotica that adorn the walls of the temples here. Visit the Khajuraho temples (Western group of temples), these are group of Hindu and Jain temples, built by the Chola rulers. Get back onboard. Either you can settle down and relax or refresh yourself with spa at a hotel. You may also prefer to enjoy the sound and light show or Dances of India show. Afterwards, Maharaja's express leaves for Varanasi. Dinner and overnight stay on the train.

Day 6 - Varanasi
Enjoy breakfast on board. Arrival at Varanasi. De-board the train for a sightseeing tour in Varanasi, one of the holiest cities in India. Varanasi is located on the banks of river Ganga and is considered as the abode of Lord Shiva. Visit the Silk Weaving center, a manufacturing industry where weaving is done within the household. Relish delicious lunch at Vivanta by Taj. Later, visit the Sarnath ruins and museum. Settled within close proximity to Varanasi, Sarnath is a place where Buddha delivered his first speech at the deer park. The place holds a number of Buddhist monuments and edifices. Later, leave for a boat ride on River Ganges to witness the magnificent evening Arti, the river worship ceremony. Later, return back to the train and leave for Lucknow city. Dinner and overnight stay on the train.

Day 7 - Lucknow
Today arrive at Lucknow; the city of Nawabs. Breakfast on board. A historical trail across Chota Imambara, the Residency, Bada Imambara and the Rumi Darwaza- which is known for its impressive architectural design will capture wonderful memories for you to carry back home. Later, relish cocktail lunch at Taj hotel. Get back to the comforts of Maharaja's express and continue for Delhi. Enjoy 'Indian Evening' followed by dinner on-board. Overnight stay on the Maharaja's express.

Inclusions
The tariff of the Maharajas Express includes accommodation, meals, beverages (light drinks, tea, coffee, and mineral water), Indian wines (in house brands), butler service, and porter-age at stations, guided tours and entrance fees at monuments.

Exclusions
The tariff however does not include taxes, insurances, alcoholic beverages, telephone calls, laundry, and fees of video and professional cameras.

Booking Policy :
Booking policy followed by the Maharajas Express is as follows:

♦ If booking is done prior to 90 days of departure or more, then 25% of the total tariff is to be paid at the time of booking.
♦ Remaining 75% of ticket value can be paid 60 days prior to departure.
♦ If booking is done less than 60 days of departure or less, then full 100% of the total tariff is to be paid at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy
The cancellation policy that is followed by the train is as:

♦ If cancelled 60 days or more prior to departure date, then 25% of the published tour cost is deducted.
♦ If cancelled 45-59 days prior to departure date, then 50% of the published tour cost is deducted.
♦ If cancelled 0-44 days prior to departure date, then 100% of the published tour cost is deducted.
♦ If you fail to show up on the departure date, then 100% of the published tour cost is deducted.
