The Hills of Jawai in Rajasthan is one of the few places in where the leopards and striped hyenas can easily be found. The Jawai hills and the dam are also home to other wild animals and migratory birds. Located in Pali District of Rajasthan, it is famous for the Jawai dam, grasslands, river banks and grazing grounds. 

The hills of Jawai were formed by the lava millions of years ago and now the natural caves and rock shelters of the Jawai Hills are home to leopards and Indian striped hyenas. The unique behavior of leopards of the Jawai hills will change the opinion of leopards being solitary animals. The leopards live together in peace with humans. 

The scenic beauty of the Jawai hills and the rare footage of leopards living like a family on the temple stairs is a rare sight to behold. Jawai is the only place in India with the highest density of leopards.

The region hosts a crocodile sanctuary and Kambeshwar Ji leopard sanctuary both located in and around Jawai. The Jawai Dam built across the Jawai River in Pali district houses Indian Mogar crocodiles and crocodiles for migratory birds including crocodiles cranes and flamingos. 

The picturesque location around the Jawai hills and the dam is home to a number of wild animals such as wolf, chinkara, jackal and jungle cats. Jawai's wildlife sanctuaries are home to extraordinary wildlife and wild predators such as the Indian wolf, striped hyena, wild cat, panther and Indian leopard. 
Jawai Leopard Safari Timings:   Morning 06:00 am to 09:30 am, and Evening 04:00 pm to 07:00 pm. The timing changes as per months. Due to heavy rain fall the camp closes for short period of time.
