In ancient times this region had palaces and gardens made by two rulers of Jodhpur &#8211; Bhim Singh and Takhat Singh. These were destroyed to make <strong>Kaylana Lake Jodhpur<\/strong>. The area around this lake, also known as Pratap Sagar were once full of wild bears. Owing to this, the area once served as a secured hunting place for the royal members.
