They also serve jalebi with rabdi for breakfast. Ghevar is a round sweet cake made with flour and ghee, soaked in sugar syrup. The batter of all-purpose flour, ghee, milk, and water is poured into hot ghee and fried to a golden, honeycomb-like texture. It’s often topped with saffron, spices, and nuts. We didn’t snap photos of the onion kulchas, but their onion and aloo parathas were unbelievably good!

Address: Hotel Neelam, B9, Station Rd, in front of Polo Victory Hotel, Lalpura Colony, Sindhi Camp, Jaipur

Laxmi Mishthan Bhandar (LMB) – A Sweet Heritage

LMB is a renowned pure vegetarian eatery in the city. They offer a fast food service where you can either stand and eat or take away. We indulged in Dhoklas, Lassi, Samosas, Jalebis, and Khandvis until it was time to move indoors for more feasting in the proper dining area. Here, we savored Gatte ki Sabzi, Dal Bhatti Churma, parathas, kulchas, and puris. It’s impossible to stop indulging here!

Address: No. 98, 99, Johari Bazar Rd, Bapu Bazar, Biseswarji, Jaipur

Tapri Central – Where Chai Meets Charm

This modern café serves a variety of snacks and drinks like poha, tadka maggi, masala chai and even fusion snacks! If you’re located near Central Park, especially during the evening, do visit Tapari! The view from the top is breathtaking while the ambiance inclusion soft music is so soothing, you’d never want to leave. The best part is the fusion snacks that are sure to delight every taste bud!

Rajasthan Food Tour Package

Best Places to Eat in Jaipur

Chokhi Dhani – A Royal Rajasthani Experience

If you want to enjoy a unique traditional Rajasthani dining experience, Choki Dhani is the place to be. Offering the perfect blend of music, dance, culture, heritage, and hospitality, The Choki Dhani village restaurant Sangri is a befitting dining experience for adults and kids. It offers 3 types of thali experience – Unlimited Rajasthani Veg thali, Limited +Adds ons Rajasthani Veg thali , and International buffet. Since we are not humongous eaters, we settled for the thali which was limited but with the add-ons. Approximately INR 3000 for 2 persons, the thali wasn’t the best I’d had in Jaipur. Although it offered a lot of varieties of rice, breads, lentils, curries and accompaniments, I’d say the experience of having a typical Rajasthani meal in a village setting and the exemplary hospitality was the highlight and not so much the taste of the food.

Address: 12 Miles Tonk Road Via Vatika, Sitapura, Jaipur

Anokhi Café – Global Meets Organic

Anokhi Café, situated in C-scheme, offers a breath of fresh air both literally and figuratively. Their farm-to-table policy promotes the use of organic ingredients, and also healthy meals including freshly baked bread and pastries. Perfect for a calm brunch, the café’s interior has warm and simple touches, and offers delicious and fresh salads, hummus platters, sandwiches, and beetroot burgers.

Masala Chowk – Street Food Heaven

For a comprehensive culinary journey at Jaipur famous food places, look no further than Masala Chowk. Situated beside Ram Niwas Garden, this open-air food court brings together over 20 vendors serving everything from golgappas and pav bhaji to tandoori chai and aloo tikki. You can savor street food in Jaipur without compromising on cleanliness and order in a very organized and clean setting.

Sanjay Omelette – The Egg Lover’s Paradise

Sanjay Omelette near Bapu Nagar is an iconic street food stall propelled into the spotlight by Sanjay Bhardawaj, a bodybuilder-turned-chef known for his inventive culinary hacks which transform everyday omelettes into an egg lover’s paradise that features ingredients like cheese and even pizza. It is an ideal place to grab a quick bite for breakfast or an evening snack.

Bar Palladio – A Piece of Italy in Jaipur

Of all the beautiful restaurants in Jaipur, Bar Palladio is perhaps the poster child. The interior spaces are drenched in bold peacock blue hues, and intricately painted arches decorate doors and windows. There are a number of rooms to discover. In one room, you dine whilst tropical birds frolic across the walls above you, whilst in another, you’re immersed in a blue and white chinoiserie come to life.

The exterior courtyard carries on the theme, where we feasted on Italian and international dishes. Now generally my rule of thumb is to stick to local cuisine in India, however at Bar Palladio we really enjoyed the brief break from curry. It’s a beautiful spot to while away a mild Jaipur evening in style. If Bar Palladio’s aesthetics resonate, they also have a hotel, Villa Palladio, similarly swathed in bold reds.

Handi Restaurant – For Non-Veg Delights

You can’t go to Jaipur without gorging on some laal maas and bajra roti. Laal maas is red, bold and HOT. It will ensnare your senses and yet not burn your tastebuds alive. Lots of garlic, Mathania chillies, and a thick, chunky gravy. Every region does laal maas slightly differently, much like butter chicken. Handi has that old-world charm and their new rooftop restaurant has a really cool youthful vibe with live music on most nights. Pair your laal maas with bajra roti to soak up and balance the heat.

Gulab Ji Chaiwala – A Local Favourite

Gulab Ji Chaiwala is always busy serving customers near Ganpati Plaza whether it is the early morning or late evening and night. The bun maska, chai, and samosa dish is easy to order and gets you hooked very quickly. Expect people from all walks of life, from students to business people gathering there for a gossip session over tea.

Jaipur Tour Planner

Best Places to Eat in Jaipur: A Food Lover’s Guide offers a rich culinary experience blending royal heritage with vibrant street flavors.
