Places to Visit in Nathdwara<\/strong> is a small and beautiful town situated between the Aravali hills on the banks of Banas River<\/strong> in Rajsamand district. This town is very popular for its temple of Krishna which houses a deity of Krishna. This temple has a very rich and interesting history behind it which we will come to later. The literal meaning of the word Nathdwara <\/a>is \u2018Gateway to Shreenathji\u2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The town is situated at a distance of around 50 km from Udaipur city<\/strong>. Hence, it is the most loved and preferred getaway of the citizens of Udaipur. Shreenathji temple is undoubtedly very beautiful and popular in the town but there are some other beautiful destinations in the town too that can be your next weekend escape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Eklingji Temple<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Eklingji Temple is located in the town of Eklingji<\/strong>, not far from the Eklingji Lake. It was built in honor of Eklingji, the primary deity of the Sisodia Dynasty and a manifestation of Lord Shiva. The temple has a pyramidal shape and is supported by a marble and granite foundation. Within the compound is a cenotaph commemorating the former monarch of Mewar<\/strong>, which is renowned for its exquisite carvings and murals and includes an image of Lord Vishnu.
