Local belief suggests that the Pandava brothers, before the great war, resided here and constructed several temples and stepwells dedicated to Lord Shiva, seeking his blessings for victory. The best time to visit Rusirani village is during the winter season, from October to March. During these months, the weather is pleasant with cooler temperatures and a gentle breeze, making it ideal for exploring the village and its surroundings. While the monsoon season (July to September) brings a beautiful green landscape to the desert region, it can also bring high humidity and occasional heavy rainfall. The summer months, from April to June, are extremely hot and are not recommended for a visit.

By Road: The most common way to reach Rusirani is by car or bus from Jaipur. The drive takes you through scenic routes and the Aravalli hills. The journey to the village’s base is straightforward. However, the last 3 km to the village is on a difficult, off-road terrain. Most visitors use a local tour operator that provides a change of vehicle (typically a jeep) at the base, near the Narayani Mata Temple, for the final leg of the journey.
