Jodhpur Tourism - Popular, colourful and culturally rich, Jodhpur is one of Rajasthan's most beautiful cities. It is also known as the Sun City of India and is said to have been built in the 15th century by a Rao Jodha. This city was earlier known as Marwar and is currently the second largest city of Rajasthan. 2. Jaswant Thada. This place was built in the memory of Maharaj Jaswant Singh. The beauty of this place is simply enchanting. And for anyone who is looking for a mesmerizing travel experience, it is one of the best options worth visiting.

3. Mandore Gardens. One of the most beautiful and warm places to visit with your loved ones, Mandore Gardens are all about touching the traveller's spirit in you. This location can be ideal for picnics also and due to the statues present here, this place is no less than an architectural wonder.

4. Kailana Lake. This is basically an artificial lake that was constructed in 1872 by Pratap Singh. This lake is one of the most frequented places that you can visit with your loved ones to experience the charm of it.

5. Rao Jodha Rock Desert Park. This place was constructed in 2006. The aim of this park was to particularly restore the overall rocky area which was near the fort. It is a huge park which is located in an area spanning 200 acres at the very foot of the immense Mehrangarh Fort.

6. Clock Tower. It is one of the famous landmarks of the city. This tower was constructed between the years 1880 and 1911 which were the tenure period of the Maharaja Sardar Singh. From here, you can have an immense 360-degree view of the natural beauty lying down there.

Best time to visit Jodhpur

Summer: Jodhpur experiences peak summers during April through July, with daytime temperatures lying between 32°C and 43°C. Evenings are pleasant to go on sightseeing sprees.
Monsoon: Jodhpur receives moderate rainfall from July to August. The temperature ranges between 23°C and 37°C making this a comfortable experience.

How to reach Jodhpur
Flights to Jodhpur: Jodhpur airport is situated 5 km from the city centre. Once you land, you can hire a cab or auto to the city. Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in New Delhi is the nearest international airport to Jodhpur. By bus: Jodhpur is well connected by buses from Delhi which ply throughout the day. AC Goldline and Silver Line Express are government-operated buses that run between the two places.
