Mandawa Heritage Tour

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Fly to the vivacious city called “Delhi”, also the capital of India. Meet & greet by our representative on arrival at Indira Gandhi Delhi International Airport, who will take you to your designated hotel for checking in. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
Morning breakfast, start this day with full day guided sightseeing tour of New & Old Delhi. In your Delhi trip you will watch the variety of shades of antique and present Delhi. Most important attractions here are India Gate - the war monument committed to martyrs who sacrificed their life in World War I, Parliament House - the govt. head office, Lotus Temple - the only Bahai Temple, Humayun’s Tomb- the perfect illustration of Mughal structural design, Qutub Minar -the tallest tower in India, Jama Masjid – the major mosque of muslim’s, Red Fort - built by red stone and Raj Ghat (Gandhi Memorial). Evening is free to enjoy shopping in Delhi sprawling markets. Overnight stay is in Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi – Mandawa (250 kms / 05 hrs)
Have a healthy breakfast at the hotel, and drive towards Shekhawati region where we find our next stopover -Mandawa. The painted region with murals and frescoes spread all over decorating the walls of various haveli’s and thus making it an open air art gallery for all. On arrival check in the hotel and later proceed for city sightseeing tour of Mandawa visiting the fort of Mandawa called “Mandawa Castle”, now it has been converted into hotel. Also visit to theMukund Garh Fort – a traditional hotel of Mandawa in Shekhawati region. Visit other attractions of wall painted havelis and old houses of Mandawa. Overnight stay is in Mandawa.

Day 04: Mandawa - Bikaner – Gajner (220 kms / 05 hrs)
After a lavish breakfast leave for Gajner – an incomparable jewel in the Thar. The Gajner Palace was built by the great Maharaj Ganga Singhji of Bikaner. Today serving as a hotel the palace is surrounded by thick forests and offers an opportunity to spot some wonderful migratory birds in winter like the imperial sand grouse, and animals like antelope, black buck, chinkara, deer, etc. Enroute take sightseeing tour of Bikaner visiting Junagarh fort & Jain temples, upon arrival check into your pre booked hotel for overnight stay at Gajner. Day 05: Gajner – Jaisalmer (300 kms / 06 hrs) Morning enjoy the nearby area of Ganjer Palace, then proceed for desert city called “Jaisalmer”, upon arrival in golden city check in at your designated hotel. After wash & change and a little relaxation at the hotel, evening walk in the local area of Jaisalmer and enjoy its charm. Overnight stay is in Jaisalmer.

Day 06: Jaisalmer
After healthy breakfast go on board for sightseeing tour of desert town “Jaisalmer”. It is a mesmerizing city rising out of the large Indian Desert – the Thar Desert. The golden city – Jaisalmer is recognized as the last decision in one of the outmost parts of India. The town has maintained its old charm till date and it attracts visitors from far and near with its barrel-bellied towers still commanding concern. Some of the major attractions in the town are Sonargarh Fort – the Golden Fort, Jain temples on fort, Manak Chowk, Patwon Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli, Gadisar Lake, Nathmaji Ki Havelis etc. After discovering the charming sights of Jaisalmer evening is free at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur – Luni (310 km / 07 hrs)
Morning leave for Luni - The small active village called “Luni”, situated in the shadow of the 19th century the red sandstone "Fort Chanwa", which has been rehabilitated into a hotel. With its compound of courtyards, water wheels and intricately impressed facades, the fort and its village present a stunning and peaceful alternative to the mob of Jodhpur. Enroute visiting Jodhpur, take a short trip to Mehrangarh Fort, housing lots of little paintings & frame room followed by the Jaswant Thada monument. Overnight stay is in Luni.

Day 08: Luni – Udaipur (250 kms / 06 hrs)
Morning visit the nearby villages and view their daily way of living. Later leave for the city of lakes called as “Udaipur” an attractive town studded with shimmering blue lake and edged in by the green mounts of the Aravallis. Its legendary palaces, shining blue lakes, temples, gardens and slim lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavor of a daring past, characterizing valor and gallantry. The expression in the placid waters of the Lake Pichola is a tempting sight. Overnight stay is in Udaipur.

Day 09: Udaipur
After having Rajasthani breakfast proceed for city tour of Udaipur visiting the royal City Palace - here you will see the marvelously decorated rooms with mirrored ramparts and ivory doors painted glass windows and marble galleries and the Peacock patio. After having lunch start your trip for Lake Pichola, enjoy the evening boat ride on lake Pichola, while riding you can view the city of Udaipur as it rises royally above the lake in the heart of the Rajasthan desert. Next visit the Jag Mandir Palace - an island palace in the center of the lake. Also visit 300 year old Jagdish Temple and the Royal Cenotaphs of the Rajput kings here. Overnight stay is in Udaipur.

Day 10: Udaipur - Deogarh (140 kms / 03 hrs) via Ranakpur
Morning leave for Deogarh via Ranakpur to visit the famous Jain Temple, the temple complex is located in an inaccessible valley on the west side of the Aravalli Range. These temples are positively worth visiting for their impressive structural design and the exclusive quality is its 1444 unique pillars, none of which are similar supporting its 29 halls embroidered with involved carving and sculptures. Upon arrival check into hotel in Deogarh, it is located on the borders of Mewar. Deogarh has famed school of little painting and some Deogarh miniatures are in the individual set of the present Rawat Sahib. Overnight stay is in Deogarh.

Day 11: Deogarh - Khajrela (180 kms / 04 hrs)
Morning leave for Khajrela –known for its sturdy fort with simple outlook. All houses in here are built of brick, cement and concrete but this village has no new technologies like electrical energy & mobile phones. However it is amazing that all children studying in local school are well aware of essential English. The people here mostly depend on farming and the rest work at the local sandstone factory. The Khajrela Fort, built in 1611 A.D for Thakur Dass Ji, who was arranged ‘Jagir’ (fiefdoms) of Khejarla for his big achievement in war. Khejarla then was one of the main imperative Jagirs and nobles who enjoyed the peak position amongst the main trusted in the Court of Marwar. Overnight stay is in Khajrela.

Day 12: Khajrela - Pushkar (170 kms / 04 hrs)
Morning leave for Pushkar enroute visiting Ajmer – famous for the holy shrine of Muslims the Dargah Sharif of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, which is similarly devoted by the Hindus and Muslims. After having lunch continue drive to Pushkar, upon arrival check into hotel. After wash & change visit Brahma Temple the only temple devoted to Lord Brahma in the world. Blessed with educational blends, it is the place famous for Pushkar camel fair where people come from all over to buy and sell camels and cattle of different breeds. Later visit Ghats as the city has beautiful many bathing Ghats and around 500 temples each having its own marvelous qualities and powers of healing and with varied architectural manner. Evening visit the Rose Garden as it is famous for its rose essence. Overnight stay is in Pushkar.

Day 13: Pushkar - Jaipur (150 kms / 03 hrs)
After healthy breakfast leave for beautiful city & colourful city of Rajasthan “Jaipur”, afternoon you check in hotel in the capital of Rajasthan state Jaipur, it is universally famous as the Pink City because of the wide use of numerous pink plastered stone, painted in tribute of visit of Queen Victoria. Evening is free to explore the city on own. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.

Day 14: Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Amber Fort situated on top of hill and get pleasurable elephant ride to reach the entrance of the fort. You can have a beautiful view of the Jaipur town from top of the fort. After lunch proceed for city tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace - lodging the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and its attractive Museum. Hawa Mahal – see the attractive front view of this "Palace of Winds" which you had never seen before anywhere, with its fine lattice work, elaborate balconies with 953 niche windows. Jantar Mantar – the observatory used in passed era for astronomical purposes. In the evening you will be visiting colorful markets and do some leisure activities at the hotel. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.

Day 15: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (238 kms / 05 hrs)
Morning leave for Agra, enroute visiting the ghost city “Fatehpur Sikri”, made up with red sandstone it is a veritable fairy story city and its "ruins" are in perfect shape till date. The abandoned city constructed as real legend city it had served as the capital to the Mughal emperor Akbar for a short period before it was shifted back to Agra due to scarcity of water. Upon arrival in Agra check into hotel for relaxation and wash & change – the city of famous for housing one of the Seven Wonders of the World - Taj Mahal. Today Agra placed as a monumental town covering few splendid structures in it. Even today Agra reflects its Mughal heritage clearly through various structures. By early evening visit the world famous love monument Taj Mahal, it is spiritual building attracting millions of tourists all around the year. This great this monument took twenty two years to build with approximately 20,000 workers. Also remember that imprinted figures that were once overstated with costly stones and jewels. Overnight stay is in Agra.

Day 16: Agra – Delhi (204 kms / 05 hrs)
After a lovely night have your breakfast at the hotel and after that take a small trip with your guide to Agra Fort - an enormous monument ensconced with lots of notable palaces, gardens and mosque in it. You will see a wonderful view of the loving monument from the fort, which is the main attraction. Later visit Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb constructed by Empress Noor Jahan in the reminiscence of her father. The interiors of the tomb are worth to see, as they are measured better than Taj. Later leave for Delhi and check in on arrival at your pre booked hotel for night stay in Delhi.

Day 17: Delhi - Abroad
On time you will be transferred to Delhi international airport to board flight for onward destination or back home.
