SARISKA PALACE, ALWAR

Built in 1892 A.D. by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh of Alwar, the grand Sariska Palace is located outside the Sariska National Park and is just 130 km away from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Originally built as a hunting lodge, Sariska Palace used to be an ideal gateway to the wilderness of the forest situated nearby and also acted as a retreat for the nobles who came here to spend some quality time amongst the mellifluous ditties of the folk singers and dancers during the evening hours. Admired for its architectural grandeur and natural beauty, Sariska Palace is visited by many tourists around the world throughout the whole year.
