The Elephant Festival is an inimitable event held annually in Jaipur. Kumbhalgarh Festival


Location: kumbhalgarh
 
Significance : to promote kumbhalgarh as a heritage site.
 
Time of Celebration : During winter season.

Festival ground is perched atop one of the highest peaks of the Aravalis hill, at 1014 meters above sea level, the medieval fortress of kumbhalgarh appears to have been illuminated and become lively with the performance of India’s finest musicians and performing artists and appears to have been picked right from a book of a fairy tales. It was constructed in the 15th century by maharana kumbha of mewar in one of many measures to protect his kingdom from invaders. This festival is launched by Rajasthan tourism to promote heritage destination kumbhalgarh as well as promoting the arts & culture, the festival brings together many of indias finest classical musicians and performing artists and had showcased renowned dancers.

Festival highlights include dance performance by local artists, in which the more courageous audience members are encouraged to participate as well, guest can participate in musical chairs and tug of war both big attractions for young children 

The fort is already impressive and amazing by day time, in night illuminated in yellow light giving its façade a golden glow and the fort makes a stunning spectacle view by night .the fort is enormous and capable enough to accommodate many within her walls, that means more peoples will have the chances to enjoy this fabulous work of architecture.

Two hours drive from udaipur will take you to kumbalgarh.
