National Museum
National Museum of Delhi is located in Janpath. It is one of the largest museums in India. It was established in 1949 and records 200,000 works of art, both of Indian and foreign origin, covering over 5,000 years. The first thing you’ll see upon entering the museum is a 13th century statue of the sun god Surya.

National Rail Museum
National Rail Museum of Delhi is located in Chanakya Puri. This museum represents India's rail heritage. The museum depicts the transformation and development of Indian Railways from the past 130 years. A ride in joy train and monorail is the best thing to experience in the museum. National Gallery of Modern Art
Established in the year 1954, this is the best place to explore Indian contemporary art. The royal building of the museum was formerly the residence of erstwhile Maharajas of Jaipur. It houses a splendid collection of paintings, some of which are as old as 150 years! The painting treasure housed here includes the 19th and early-20th century paintings of British artists, Thomas Daniell, and his nephew, William. The museum remains closed on Monday.

Air Force Museum
Air Force Museum is located in Palam which is one of the suburbs of the city. It has a collection of airplanes and armory objects which shows the history of Indian Air Force. The museum stays closed on Monday, Tuesday and public holidays.
