Wedding are special not only for two people who will be united but for two families. It is such celebrated with lots of participation of family & friend’s .Bridge cross the old home and enters the new one and also signifies a new life, new family, and friends.Groom start life fresh with new hope, vigour and wait for new bright future along with a new companion.

It is started when the boy is proposed by the girl’s parents and they ask for his Jamanpatri(Horoscope) out of 36 Guns (qualities) of the prospective bridge and groom at least 24 should match. This is done when both the approach of each other, the girl’s family sends her Jamampatri with yellow Sathiaa (squire mark) on into the groom’s house. To consolidate and relationship the boy is given a silver coin, coconut and applied a ‘tilak (red dot auspious mark )This custom is known as roka or godh .Once the engagement is fixed the ceremony of tikka is performed by the both families. In India nothing auspicious is done invoking Ganeshji’s Blessings. The first invitation card is sent to him for it is believed that he will protect all from evil. Songs from integral parts of the occasion, they denote the happiness of the family and friends start few days before the wedding ceremony. Haldi and tel (oil) are applied on the bridge, this start before 3-5 days before for the wedding. It is believe that these two together impart special glow to the bride. There are certain songs in Rajasthan that meant specially for these occasion .on the main day mother – in – law together worship the chalk bhat ( potters wheel ) for happiness of the couple. The decor the venue consist of illuminated surrounding, floral gates at the entrances and Mandup (canopied platform on which the ceremony will perform) decorated in flowers and rangoli.Bride being applied with Mahendi ( heena) design on her palms and feet wear Traditional Rajasthani royal dress with langa (long skirts) small kurta and odhani. The groom dressed in traditional Shervani ( long jacket ) Churidar ( wrinkled pajama ) Jooties (Rajasthani shoes ) and pancharangi ( five colours ) Safa ( turban or head gear ) and sword. The marriage commences with the groom’s party proceeding to main entrances the groom is made to sit on a decorated horse or elephant. The barat party ( marriage procession ) is led by local band and musuicaians with complete marshal torches .On arrival the bridge father and family members, relatives and friends will receive the groom and barat party.

The groom touches the totan (an auspicious decoration) on the door made by wood and flowers with his swords. This signifies his conquest, symbolizing power and capability to protect. Therefore kalsh pooja ( an auspicious pitcher )is done after the bride family greets the grooms family with Arti , Tikka , Garlands and escorts them in the venue, while shipping the drink the Milani & family greetings is done wherein bridge‘s and groom’s relatives warmly greet and hug each other, there after pundit ( priest) announces the commencement of the marriage ceremony and the bridge And grooms sit at the mandup. The bridge family member are invited to witness the ceremony which comprises Indian customs like Pooja ( prayers) and chanting of mantras ( religious hymns ) and follows by the final pheras (seven rounds which are done around the vedi holy fire ) all these ritual are basically vows of being together unto death.

The real fun starts during the pheras. When the groom’s shoes are bone of contention between his relatives and the bridge’s. While the latter are on the look out for shoes so they can hide them and pinch some money out of the groom, his relatives try to protect them, and this is basically to create a friendly ambience for all. A very interesting customs is shifting of 7 metal plates with sword by the groom. The bride then tries to put them one on top of the other without making noise. Arrival at Palace OR Garden
Royal welcome at palace with Red carpet laid up on the stairs Torches lit up, Decorated camels and horses, drum beaters, showering of flower petals and arti tikka garland by traditionally dressed up girls. Welcome fire works at the main entrance of the palace.
Royal Chattar and Chanvar and shall greet them with Welcome Drink (Fruit Punch) . We shall give them the royal welcome with Dhol and Nagara and Sahanai :-On arrival of guest there will be a live sahanai and table music
Royal Chattar and Chanvar means a loud announcement of the bridge & will be taken under a Royal Chattar (Umbrella) and Chanvar (Hand Fan) to the seating Venue (Gujrati Swing) with dhol and Nagara
The groom side will come along with the groom’s family members and then there will be Toran Ceremony at the gate l the bride side will give them Milni Malas (Rose / Jasmine to the grooms family members) Milni garlands & Jaimala
